Mario Benedetti - Bridge
Good! Were you throwing
less?
I have a brilliant poem. I say many thanks to my friend Cristina Barcelo this amazing poet ...
BRIDGE (Mario Benedetti)
To cross or not cross the bridge there's
on the other side
expected someone with a peach and a country
unusual offerings bring with me from including a wooden umbrella navel
a book with blank
panics and a guitar I do not know come to embrace
cheeks
tissues insomnia the sea and the timid peace banners
pain liturgies and shadow kiss
brought so many things I never
've never been with so little
there's the bridge to cross
or not I'm going to cross to cross without warnings
someone on the other side waiting for me
with a peach and a country. Today
